The latest version of that project (now called VIPIC) recently reported excellent results. Today, VIPIC is the focus of three US labs — Fermilab, Argonne, and Brookhaven — in creating a ground-breaking X-ray detector. The collaboration was announced by Fermilab on Nov 7 .
