Semiconductor Engineering Peers into the Future and Sees Tezzaron May13 By David Chapman • Posted in Industry News Opinion Tezzaron in the News May 13, 2020 When Bryon Moyer of Semiconductor Engineering decided to try and figure out the future of DRAM, everywhere he went he heard essentially the same story, (paraphrasing) “…we have not come up with any technology that beats it, so we will keep doing what we have always done…”, that is, until someone referred him to Tezzaron. Judging from the content of his article, Tezzaron seems to have offered him the only plausible path forward using existing proven technology and tools to make major advances in main memory. (And we are not at all surprised at that, as we have not heard of anything else plausible either.) After the extensive review of Tezzaron’s approach, his article spins off into possible alternate technologies that are still years, if not decades, from challenging the density, power, latency, bandwidth, reliability and endurance offered by Tezzaron’s approach. Which DRAM manufacturer will be the first to shoulder their competitors out of the way, and be first in line to license Tezzaron IP? https://semiengineering.com/what-is-drams-future/
